Only fair. I am a great Reed fan but this CD did not live up to expectations.

This 22 song CD is from 1997 but it's always nice to hear Jerry. I've been a Jerry Reed fan for years. If you like to see him perform he also did a DVD concert with Chet Atkins at the Bottom Line. This is a very nice collection of his hits compiled on one CD. His voice sounds like when he was younger,It's a nice addition as I enjoy his style of playing guitar. You won't be disappointed.

Jerry Reed is the greatest songwriter, guitar player, singer, showman, movie actor in the world. Or should say "was" because he recently left us and is missed. If you don't already know that what i say is true, you might want to get this album or any of several other of his albums and find out for yourself. Son.

Jerry's unique style abounds on this generous offering. Songs made famous by other greats such as Presley's "Guitar Man" and "US Male" are given Jerry's special treatment and and sound great. His infectious "full on" vocals and his lively guitar playing (brilliant picking and warm chords) are to be enjoyed in a wide and well chosen selection of his best songs. From the fast and furious "Devil Went Down To Georgia" to the gentle "Don't It Make You Wanna Go Home" and the gentler "Sweet Memories", he takes you along for a special ride. Likewise, Croce's "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and Rogers' "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love.". If you've heard and liked any of Jerry's songs, take a chance with this album - you won't be disappointed.
